Mothers' Day Card

My Mothers' Day card unfortunately wasn't quite as successful as the cake... I bought a pack of five pop-up cards that came with a flower insert, but absolutely no instructions on how to make them pop up! I looked online for tips and tutorials and tried folding the card every which way, but just couldn't do it!

This is about as far as I got... it stands out from the card a bit but doesn't really pop up! I covered the base of the flower pot with stripey paper, and shaded the flowers with coloured pencils and added a sticky glitter heart to the centre of each one.

This is the front of the card. I covered the top half in pink paper and the bottom half in the same stripey paper as the inside, and added a piece of ribbon along the join. I used a "happy Mothers' Day" outline sticker and some flower outline stickers on the top.
