Wedding card

Here's a wedding card I made for some friends a little while ago... I used a fairly large card which I think was A5 and used it in landscape format. First I covered the card with pink backing paper with white swirls, and added a die-cut heart. I had previously bought a packet of bride and groom card toppers which were quite intricate; the groom figure even has a handkerchief in his pocket. I added them on either side of the heart and also used some padded hearts I had from another packet. To anchor the scene I used a piece of patterned paper and then the words 'happy wedding day' from a pack of gold outline stickers underneath. There's quite a lot going on in this card and I think it suffers from the fact that I didn't really plan what I was going to do before I did it, but then I very rarely do!

  1. Beautiful card...Like the color and the pattern you used...you don't think of to use matching Gift Card envelopes for it.

    1. I'm not familiar with those... when I buy the blank cards they come with envelopes so I just use those.
