Meal Planning 2013- week 6



I lost three pounds last week, which I'm really pleased about - proof Slimming World does work if you stick to it! I'm going to try as hard as I can again this week, as I know next week won't be quite so healthy - I'll be having a meal out and also cooking something indulgent for Valentine's Day. So for this week I will try to be a bit more strict with myself.

Monday
Breakfast Pancake as I have some mixture left over from Sunday (edit.. .I've just worked out the syns in these, oh dear! Still, it's too late now!)
Lunch Butternut squash risotto
Dinner Choir rehearsal in evening so I will take a sandwich


Tuesday
Breakfast Quorn sausages
Lunch sandwich
Dinner at my boyfriend's house -  I know there is some salmon in his freezer so I'll be good and cook that while he has a burger I expect!

Wednesday
Breakfast Quorn sausages
Lunch sandwich
Dinner Chicken tequila fettucine from America's Most Wanted Recipes p46

Thursday
Breakfast Quorn sausages
Lunch Sandwiches being provided in a meeting at work
Dinner with my boyfriend - chicken korma from Slimming World's Little Book of Sauces p20

Friday
Breakfast Cereal
Lunch Baked potato
Dinner Chinese shrimp with garlic sauce from this recipe with rice


Saturday
Breakfast Cereal
Lunch Pasta in tomato sauce or mackarel in mustard sauce* on toast if I have any bread left
*This was a childhood/teenage staple I loved and haven't had in years so bought some last week, and was very pleased to discover it only has half a syn per tin.
Dinner Need a quick dinner before going out in the evening - chicken kiev and Slimming World chips. We're going to a pancake party so I will try not to eat to much!

Sunday
Brunch with my boyfriend - grilled chicken sandwich (America's Most Wanted Recipes p180)
Dinner Pork medallions in a creamy onion sauce - SW little book of sauces p114

    1. Sadly that recipe isn't exactly diet food - but by substituting a couple of ingredients it should be OK. Also one of the things I like about Slimming World is that you can eat things like pasta and chicken without having to weigh it. The mackarel in mustard sauce is surprisingly low in syns as well.

  3. I don't follow SW but I like their recipes. I had their chicken fried rice for tea tonight and it was AMAZING! Well done on your weight loss - that's great! x
