We certainly had a lot of entries last month - I bet many of you were waiting for the letter C to come up and I was surprised I had taken this long! Chocolate was the obvious ingredient and we had plenty of delicious chocolate recipes but plenty of other ingredients besides. Check out my co-host Ros's roundup at The More Than Occasional Baker. There aren't many letters of the alphabet left, including X, Y and Z - so you might be pleased to see this month's letter is a somewhat easier one:
O
I look forward to seeing what you will come up with! Please as always email your entry to alphabakes@gmail.com by the 25th of the month. Tweet us at @Caroline_Makes and @Bakingaddict and we will retweet all the ones that we see. I am away for two weeks in November - I'm spending a week in my company's US head office in Baltimore (home of Ace of Cakes!) and taking the following week as holiday, so I will have limited internet access. But rest assured I will post the roundup before the end of the month!
Here's a reminder of the rules
1. Post your recipe on your blog and link it to The More than Occasional Baker andCaroline Makes, stating the relevant month's host. If you do not have a blog, email us a picture and a brief description of your entry which we will include in the round-up at the end of the month.
2. You can use your own recipe or someone else's recipe. The recipe can be sweet, savoury or a mixture! Anything goes as long as the random letter is predominantly featured in the recipe as one of the main ingredients or flavours or in the name of the bake itself (i .e . not as a garnish , or using 'flour' for the letter F!) You can also republish old posts/recipes but you must include the information for this challenge as stated in these rules.
3. Add the logo to your post and add 'alphabakes' as a label to your post.
4. Email your entries to alphabakes@gmail.com by midnight (GMT) 25th of each month. Please include:
